Pantry Route Delivery Notifications · Effective October 6, 2026

Pantry Route Delivery Notifications are text messages about home food deliveries from the Mosque Foundation Food Pantry in Bridgeview, IL. The program is operated by PorSignal LLC on behalf of the pantry.

Where things stand: automated delivery texts from the pantry’s number are not active yet. For now, a volunteer driver may text a household from the driver’s own phone to say they are on the way — never automatically, and never to a household that asked for no texts. To stop those texts, tell your pantry coordinator.

How households opt in

Households opt in when they register for home delivery at the pantry, either on the pantry’s registration form, by agreeing to its text-message line, or verbally, when pantry staff read this exact script:

“Would you like to receive text messages about your food deliveries — a heads-up on delivery day and a message when the driver is on the way? You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.”

Staff record the household’s answer in Pantry Route. Only households that agree receive texts. Consent is never assumed or pre-selected, and the mobile number is used only for delivery messages.

Agreeing to texts is not a condition of receiving food. Households receive the same food and deliveries whether or not they choose to get text messages.

What messages you receive

Only messages about your own deliveries — never marketing. Messages are sent in the household’s preferred language (English, Spanish, or Arabic). For example:

How often

Message frequency depends on your deliveries: typically 1–2 messages per delivery day, occasionally one more if a delivery is missed or canceled.
